The Verve web site says:

“Verve Restaurant Café & Bar is an intimate restaurant serving excellent food. The stylish contemporary décor creates a warm ambience.

The food by Head Chef Jay Jorgensen is outstanding – his approach innovative, creative and full flavoured. He creates food using European principles with Asian influences and it is a hit with locals.

The passion for food and wine of owner Shelly Greaves is evident, the service is professional but warm and friendly.”

That pretty much sums it up.  A bit classier than the usual Coast restaurant, with very, very nice food and a great wine list.

My Chief Complaint

My only complaint is that they took the licorice dessert they had off menu ;o(

They’ve won more Awards than Meryl Streep (although, I hasten to add, none for acting!).  They deserve them all for a terrific restaurant.

Located on the Casino level of Jupiters Casino, Broadbeach Food Fantasy is a tropically-themed restaurant offering a lavish banquet.

Prices are set ($45 at time of writing) and the help yourself style allows you to eat as much or as little as you desire.

You’d Expect The Food To Be Rubbish

Some all you can eat places serve up, let’s be frank, crap.

Not here – the food is absolutely first class. All help yourself and when you have a couple of teenage pigs boys like I do, they think they’re in heaven.

The lads still rate this as the best restaurant they’ve ever been to.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Food Fantasy offers a fantastic assortment of foods in plentiful supply.

There’s often a line up at peak times, but well worth cooling your heels for 20 minutes or so.

If you are looking for top classy service this is not the place for you!

Top Noodle offers fresh, speedy meals that taste magnificent and are real cheap.

This is as close to authentic Japanese food as I have seen on the Gold Coast – and that’s after visiting Japan 4 times in the last 3 years!

The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is fresh, fast, hot and absolutely delicious.

I’ve been to this restaurant more than any other on the Gold Coast – it’s fabulous every single time.

Kahini – Thankyouverymuch

by admin on February 28, 2010

Indian Food
Shop 13, 496 Gold Coast Highway, Tugun, 4224
07 5559 5933

Without taking the mickey out of the hardworking guys running this place with that dopey headline, Kahini is my pick on the Gold Coast for fantastic and cheap as chips Indian food.

Seriously, I’d sell one of my kids to get my hands on an extra serve of their Cheese Nam Bread.  It’s that good!

Their best dishes are to numerous to mention and all I’d be doing is repeating their menu.  Get along and give it a try yourself.

Big Meals, Small Price

Large reasonably priced meals with all the favourite selections available.

Consistently top quality food and friendly service.  Indoor and outdoor dining available, BYO wine and licensed.
